July Newsletter: Sunshine & Markets Ahead!

July marks an exciting return to market season for Pepperberry Foods after founder Maddie's adventurous weeks guiding bike tours in Idaho and hiking around Mt. Hood with Northwest Discoveries.

The month kicks off with celebrating raffle winner Amanda Davis, who won a three-bag Freselle Savory Sampler.

Due to overwhelming customer response, the newest specialty flavor Chili Crisp will remain in the freselle rotation throughout July. This collaboration with Chili Royal delivers garlic and onion flavors upfront with a subtle heat finish.

Additionally, Pepperberry is featuring a classic Italian dessert - chocolate olive oil cake made with organic olive oil, cocoa, and espresso powder, topped with candied orange peel. These vegan-friendly, five-ounce individual portions offer a perfect light summer dessert.

The company recently participated in Caelestis Cellars' summer wine release party, connecting with wine club members and showcasing their freselles alongside this local SE Portland urban winery's sustainable Oregon and Washington grape selections.

Customers can find Pepperberry Foods at four weekly farmers markets throughout July: OHSU (Tuesdays), Wednesdays in Willamette (Wednesdays), South Waterfront (Thursdays), and Beaverton (Saturdays), with special appearances at Lake Oswego Farmers Market on July 12th and August 9th.

Summer Markets, Olive Oil Cake & New Adventures!

Pepperberry Foods is expanding this summer with a new chocolate olive oil cake, an extended farmers market schedule across Portland and surrounding areas, and congratulations to May raffle winner Kylie Naslund who won a savory sampler. Owner Maddie continues to share her Italian family's traditional freselle recipes in six unique flavors, all handmade with local ingredients and available at multiple retail locations including Market of Choice stores and various farmers markets. While Maddie takes brief breaks in June to guide outdoor adventures, she'll return to full market schedules in July, bringing these versatile vegan-friendly Italian biscuits to more Pacific Northwest communities.
